Telangana is a popular tourist destination in India with a wide range of attractions for visitors. Located in the south-central part of the country, Telangana is home to the bustling city of Hyderabad, the former capital of the princely state of Nizams. The state is home to many ancient temples, forts, and monuments, as well as other cultural attractions.

 

One of the most popular destinations in Telangana is Hyderabad, the largest city in the state. Visitors can explore the Charminar, a 16th-century mosque and monument, and the Golconda Fort, an imposing citadel built in the 11th century. The bustling markets of Laad Bazaar and Begum Bazaar are also worth a visit. The city is also home to the Salar Jung Museum, which houses a large collection of antiques and artworks.

Outside of Hyderabad, visitors to Telangana can explore the ancient Buddhist sites of Nagarjuna Sagar and Phanigiri. The breathtaking waterfalls of Jogulamba and Kuntala are also a must-visit. Nature lovers can enjoy the many wildlife sanctuaries and national parks in the state, including Kasu Brahmananda

The land of the iconic monument, Charminar, this capital city lures its visitors with its astonishing charm. Hyderabad has several tourist places that can satisfy your wanderlust. Golconda Fort, Makkah Masjid, Salarjung Museum, Birla Mandir, and Hussain Sagar Lake are just some of the city’s prime attractions.

The city is home to the important Hindu shrine of Tirumala Venkateswara Temple and other historic temples and is referred to as the "Spiritual Capital of Andhra Pradesh".

Warangal served as the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty which was established in 1163. The monuments left by the Kakatiyas include fortresses, lakes, temples and stone gateways which, in the present, helped the city to become a popular tourist attraction.
